Embossed Leaves Vortex Shawl

You’ve asked, you’ve inspired, I’ve designed it!

When I launched my first Mystery Shawl CAL, I asked members of our Facebook CAL Group (join here, if you haven’t yet) to guess the shape of the shawl and an astonishing number guessed and wanted to crochet a vortex shape. Well… it wasn’t. It was a winged shape.

I have been long drooling over the knitted vortex shawls and wanting a comparably beautiful crochet design. I’m biased, but I think I’m in love with this one, especially because it was kind of magical to watch the shape magically appear just by increasing and decreasing on the right spots. Oh, and have I told you it's also reversible?

A Note about Shawl Size Options:

The shawl showcased on sample pictures measures 28” (71 cm) wide by 42” (107 cm) long, which is on the short side for a shawl or let’s call it a shawlette. If you like a more generous size shawl, I will give instructions to customize it, just make sure to double on the yarn required. Please check specifics under supplies list.

How do I Get the Instructions for the Parts?

The pattern will be emailed to you as PDF files, in serial format. For each part, you will receive a “Pattern Update” message and you will be able to download each part PDF file. Once part two is released, you will also receive a final PDF file containing the full pattern.
