Gratitude Flower Pattern
To show how grateful we are for all of your support throughout the years here is the free Gratitude Flower crochet pattern. These are such a breeze to make so don’t be surprised if you end up making a mountain of these. They could be used on countless handmade gifts, Spring themed wreaths and a complement for accessories and decor.
I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I do.
Materials:
- 1 ball of Aunt Lydia’s crochet thread, Classic 10, 100% Mercerized Cotton in Goldenrod (yellow), or Pumpkin (orange) or (fudge brown) colorways
- Size D (3.25 mm) crochet hook
- Bead or button of your choice to adorn center of flower
Gauge:
Gauge is not critical for this project.
Instructions:
Ch 95
Row 1: Dc in 8th ch from hook, *ch 2, skip next 2 ch, dc in next ch, rep from * across; turn – (30 ch-2 sp)
Row 2: Ch 5 (3 beg ch counts as dc + ch-2), dc in next dc, * ch 2, dc in next dc, rep from * across; turn – (30 ch-2 sp)
Row 3: [Ch 2 (count as hdc), dc, 2 tr, ch 2, 2 tr, dc, hdc] in first ch-2 sp, [hdc, dc, 2 tr, ch 2, 2 tr, dc, hdc] in next ch-2 sp; rep across. Fasten off – (30 shells or petals)
Blocking:
A Note about Blocking: Your flowers will look more defined if the petals are blocked at this point, before finishing. Before finishing a flower according to instructions below, soak the strip in cool water until thoroughly wet. Gently squeeze out excess water and pin the strip to a flat surface. Pull each petal into a point and pin it in place. Remove only when completely dry.
Finishing:
Roll the petal strip to form flower, and stitch through ch-2 sp to secure flower. You can also stitch flower in shape as you roll. Using beading needle or a fine sewing needle and thread, attach pearl to center of flower.

Re:Geneva, the “tr” means treble stitch. You can Google how to make them :) very easy. BTW, TY Bonita for this pattern! Love it. Will make a few to attach to hats :)
Can you tell me what the tr in row 3 on the gratitude flower means? Thanks!
